Designer notes:

How did I get all necessary info about Austrians?

Some info, like city and leader lists were extracted from Napoleonic Conquest scenario. The rest was found out, thanks to BreakAway Games staff, from original designer notes for Austria. Also, leader and unique unit graphics, plus civilopedia description were already done by Civ3: Conquest team.

Are the Austrians implemented exactly the same as in designer notes?

Just with few tweaks. Some things needed to be changed for balance purposes.
Original Austria AI, exempt offense and artillery units, had also defense units as build often preference. I removed it, since no other civilization had so many types of units flagged as build often, and would probably overtax the AI if implemented.

As for Hussar, it had few changes too. Original Hussar had cost of 70 shields and no Zones of Control. It also required both Horses and Saltpeter. Having no Zones of Control had no sense for Cavalry replacement so it was added back. As for shield cost, it needed to be increased to prevent upgrading Knights to Hussars for free. I removed Saltpeter requirement since Hussar used cavalry swords instead of guns for battle.

Why replacing Koreans?

Because the limit of maximum 31 civilizations in game, one civ needed to go. Since I wanted to keep all combinations of traits, only candidates were Zulus/Mongols, Greeks/Koreans or Persians/Ottomans. Zulus, Mongols and Greeks have tradition in all civilization games so removing them was out of question. On the other hand, both Persians and Ottomans have cool unique units, which means that only possible option left was to remove Koreans.
